It seems that in these times of Twitter, Friendfeed, MySpace, Facebook and others, the term friends gets a completely different meaning. I used to sit with friends around the table, discuss, do something. Enjoy their company. Right now I get friends on my screen and sometimes participate digitally.

I have to find another term to label people that I share real-time with. Buddies, real-timers, mates, blokes, invites, blood-brothers & sisters, pals ; all those terms are not working. If you know a nice term, let me know.

I think the new possibilities are just fantastic. But I also want to give the old relations a good place. They deserve an own name.

Our houses

Not a bad thing, he? Houses, plural. We have more then one!

House in late-afternoon light. Farther away the fields that we don’t know what do to with, yet.

This is our residence for the moment. It is OK. Doesn’t leak, but not very good isolated and not very good situated. But we were all to happy to have something for ourselves after 10 years on a boat and 3 months going from hotel to hotel here in Chile.

Big bathroom, so also washing room and storage space for the tools and screws and so on.

Yes, a big bathroom, now (August 2009) it is bathroom and storage space. Starts to be a bit crowded.

The old chicken-house

The old ‘Chicken House’. Used to store Leña (wood for the oven) and some other things.

The old horses and cow-shed.

The old ‘Horse-shed’. Now used as a second storage for wood and garden tools. Perfect for those things.

Mast is up, but still not supported.

A better view of our house. This is the west-site. That is where the late afternoon-sun sometimes in Summer passes by. In winter—right now—you have to go outside to enjoy the golden streams of light at 4.00 o’clock in the afternoon.

The dog-house. The newest and for sure the most-easy-to-clean house we have. It is the living area of Plato. On the picture she is still a puppy and checking out her living.
She used to be able to go from her house via the back-door inside our house, but we closed it. We noticed a lot of rats used the same entrance. Plato didn’t mind sharing it.
We solved it by making Plato a spoiled dog, sleeping inside our house and closing the entrance for the rats.

That is what I decided. One thing done, make it official, for the two of us and Plato the dog, that had to stay outside…
