De Cayos Holandaises are one of the biggest groups of islands and reefs in
the San Blas. They are about 200 nautical miles from Cartagena (to the
east) and 150 nautical miles from Colon (to the west).
A big cloudy in the beginning of the day. A small breeze from the W/SW
during the day. Temperature rises till about 32 degrees celcius at noon. At
night it lowers to 27 degrees.
A squall tike this can come every day during the late afternoon and at
night. Sometimes a bit nasty but most of the time something to look forward
to. They bring sweet water!
A cought a parrot snapper -they say not so nice to eat, so I gave it away
to the Kuna’s- and two Yellow Snappers. The Yellow snappers were very small
but tasted good. Also I found a Cangrejo (crab) that we eat at lunch with
some crackers.

Catch of the day

Slowly I get a bit more result with my Hawaan sling. Susan from
Footloose gave me some pills to better clear my ears. I never heard of
something like that before. It is

I have the idea that it works a bit, but this can also be autosuggestion.
Still it is hard to clear my left ear. Real uncomfortable when beingmore
then 3 meters deep.
Later, almost at sunset, Herman and Susan came by from their
fish-hunting trip. Two gigantic Dog Snappers. They gave us one. We had
enough to eat that day.
More Medical Stuff
Yesterday I cut myself on a reef when I tried to get into the dinghy
again. There is a real small deep cut. I think it should have been stitched
together, but now after 24 hours it is too late of course. I tried ‘liquid
plaster’ and sticky bandage to get the cut together. Didn’t work. It is on
top of my ankle and still open after a day.
