Engine Problems and Solutions?

Portobelo,Panama

It is hurricane-season in the Atlantic. We have nothing to be scared about
that, as we are below the 10N, where the Coriolis-forces are not strong
enough to organize the thunderstorms in a hurricane.

Still, the water is very warm. More then 27C.

I have had problems with my engine, getting to hot. So, today I took out
the thermostat. It helps a bit. The engine doesn’t get more then
180Farenheit. It used to be more then 200Farenheit.

I only shouldn’t forget to put the thermostat back, when we are in cold waters!

The more structural problem will be to clean the heat-exchanger. Have to do
that in one of the places where we have some more time at hand.
